Event Details
A polar plunge is an event where people will enter a body of water during winter months, despite the cold temperature. The West Boggs Park Plunge for a Playground started in 2018 and is an ongoing fundraising effort to increase and revamp the amenities and services of the park for our patrons! People will be bold as they face the cold and run into the icy waters of West Boggs Lake! On January 4th, plungers will run or jump into the water, go as far as they’d like and stay in as long as they wish! Just make sure to have fun as you raise money for the park!
This year’s plunge dedicated to: SUMMER DAY CAMP!
BE BOLD AND FACE THE COLD FOR THE CHILDREN!
All plunge funds raised will go towards helping create a special experience for each child at summer day camp. Help the children of the community have a summer at the park worth remembering!
As a plunger:
-You can create a team or dive into the lake as an individual.
-Your goal is to raise a minimum of $100 in pledges from family, co-workers, friends, etc. (the more you raise, the bigger your prize).
-You are encouraged to create a theme and dress up! Prizes given for best theme and costumes!
Hot chocolate, coffee, and waiver signing @ 10:30am
Plunge @ 11am
Jumpers will plunge the cold waters from the West Boggs Park Beach.
