West Boggs Park is a 1,500-acre outdoor destination offering a 400-acre recreation zone and the renowned 622-acre West Boggs Lake—perfect for fishing, boating, and lakeside relaxation. Campground Overview

West Boggs Park is home to one of the most diverse and accommodating campgrounds in the region, offering over 250 campsites designed to meet the needs of every kind of camper. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway, a family vacation, or a full-season stay, you’ll find a site that fits your style and comfort level.

The campground features 154 reservable RV and tent sites, many with full hookups and modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For those seeking a more turnkey camping experience, we offer 2 fully equipped rental cabins, perfect for visitors who prefer the comforts of home while still enjoying the great outdoors. In addition, the park is proud to offer 110 seasonal campsites, giving long-term guests the opportunity to establish their home-away-from-home in the heart of nature.

Our campground is divided into distinct areas—each named after native Indiana wildlife—offering a range of landscapes, views, and amenities. From shaded, wooded lots to lakefront sites with stunning views, every area provides a unique camping experience. Amenities throughout the park include bathhouses, laundry facilities, a playground, and access to recreational opportunities across West Boggs Lake.

Our campground is divided into unique areas named after local wildlife, each offering its own charm and features. Whether you’re looking for shade, lake views, full hookups, or family-friendly amenities, there’s a spot for you at West Boggs.

Whitetail
Stretching along the main road in the campground, this area includes full hookup sites (water, power, sewer) at sites 12–19 and 26–29.

Bobcat
A heavily wooded section providing ample shade. Most sites include 50-amp power, except Bobcat 15 and 16. Laundry facilities are available in both bathhouses located in this area.

Lynx
Adjacent to Bobcat and equally shaded, Lynx offers peaceful surroundings and 50-amp power at all sites.

Muskrat
Located on a hill with scenic views of the lake. All sites have 50-amp power, and a small playground is nearby—perfect for families.

Milligan’s Point
A secluded and sought-after section outside the main campground with only 10 sites. All are full hookup (water, power, sewer) and include 50-amp service.

Redfox
Our most popular area, situated on a beautiful peninsula extending into the lake. Every site offers 50-amp hookups, and a shower house is conveniently located between Redfox and Muskrat.

Making a Reservation

RV and Tent Sites: Reserve online for your preferred dates and location. Sites fill up quickly—especially for holiday weekends.
Cabins: Call 812-295-3421 or visit the gatehouse to reserve. These units are only available to book during the current season.
– You will receive an email confirmation after booking. Please review it carefully to ensure your arrival/departure dates and site number are correct.

Seasonal Campsites

Raccoon & Coyote Sections: Include water and electric service (water shut off Nov 15–Apr 1). Located on the north side. Fee: $2,211/year
Grey Fox Section: Located behind the Activity Center. Includes water, electric, and sewer. Open year-round. Fee: $3,090/year

Park & Campground Rules

Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Vehicle Tags: Required in all vehicles. Unregistered vehicles must pay or leave.
– Fires allowed only in designated fire rings. Do not move them or throw in trash.
Approved Firewood Only: Kiln dried, barkless, or seasoned for 1 year. No pallet wood or lumber with nails.
– One camper and one tent OR two tents per site.
– Two vehicles per campsite. Extras must use designated lots.
No gray water dumping—use provided stations only.
– Do not remove or move picnic tables.
– No metal (nails, screws, stakes, etc.) in trees.
– Pets must be leashed and never left unattended.
– Trash must go in dumpsters—not the woods.
– No cutting firewood without park permission.
– Golf carts, bikes, and walking allowed on gravel trails; no other motorized vehicles.
– Boat trailers may not be left at the beach or ramp parking areas.
– Do not feed wildlife.
– Intoxicated individuals may not participate in events or activities.
– Park Rangers may remove visitors for rule violations or disruptive behavior.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel at least 10 days prior to arrival for a full refund (minus $3.50 fee + convenience fees).
– Cancellations made less than 10 days before arrival are not refundable or transferable.
No-shows forfeit all payments and may not transfer dates.
– Reselling sites is prohibited and will result in a ban from the park.
– If a reservation is transferred to a different date, it becomes ineligible for any refund—even if cancelled 10 days or more before arrival.
– Only one transfer is allowed per reservation anything requested after will be denied. (transfers can only be within the same season as the original reservation)
– If you do not arrive on your scheduled date, your site will be held until 12:00 NOON the following day. If you do not arrive or contact the park by that time, the site will be reopened, and all fees will be forfeited.

Golf Cart Use

Golf carts are allowed in the park with a permit.
Weekly Permit: $15
Annual Permit: $54 (requires paperwork)
– Carts must have a valid permit sticker or a receipt showing payment.

Usage Rules:
– Operators must be 16+ with a valid license or ID
– Operate only between 6 AM and Midnight
– Carts must have working lights if used after sunset
– Max speed: 10 MPH on trails
– No ATVs, ORVs, or vehicles with positive traction
– Reckless use or violations may result in ejection or bans
– Music must be kept at respectful volumes
