Bluegrass at the Lake

Join us at West Boggs Park on Thursday, June 27, for a special night of live music featuring two standout acts in the Americana and Bluegrass scene — Mama Said String Band and The Hammer and The Hatchet.

This show is FREE and ALL AGES — just pay the standard $7 gate fee per vehicle to enter the park!
Come experience some great music on our brand-new stage, with food trucks, local beer from St. Benedict’s Brewery, and wine from Hymn & Herd Winery on-site. Make it a full getaway and reserve one of our remaining camping spots today!

Mama Said String Band
Mama Said String Band, based in Louisville, Kentucky, has been making waves since their debut in 2016. This four-piece group blends Bluegrass, Folk, and Americana with stunning vocal harmonies and contemporary instrumentation. With members David O’Neal, Katie “Didit” Caudill, Kaitlen Farmer, and Kris Potts, they bring a diverse range of backgrounds and styles that have earned them accolades like “Bluegrass Artist of the Year” and a devoted national following.
The Hammer and The Hatchet
The Hammer and The Hatchet, the beloved South Central Indiana duo made up of John Bowyer and Jayme Hood. Born and raised Hoosiers, they live on the Brown/Monroe county line and have spent the last decade crafting honest, heartfelt Midwestern Roots Music. With four original albums under their belt, they are known for their rich songwriting, tight harmonies, and strong musical partnership.
